Welcome to the Third Annual Stanford Mechanical Engineering Conference
This event is a half-day scientific conference highlighting current research activities in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Oral presentations by students and faculty will be followed by a poster session. The conference will take place on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 12:30-4:00.
The Stanford Mechanical Engineering Conference is an event for all undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, alumni, and faculty engaged with the department of Mechanical Engineering. It offers opportunities to meet, connect, and learn about state-of-the-art engineering.
We welcome abstracts that highlight the research activities of our department. The conference will feature brief research talks as well as poster presentations. We will award best presentation awards in each category. Every active participant will receive a Mechanical Engineering Conference T-shirt.
We look forward to your participation!
1) If I am submitting an abstract, do I also need to register for the conference?
Yes! Please register for the conference separately under "Registration"
2) I missed the earlybird registration deadline, will I still be able to get a t-shirt?
We use the earlybird deadline to estimate the number of t-shirts to order. Everyone who registers before April 14th is guaranteed to get a t-shirt. If you register after April 14th, the extra t-shirts will be given out based on availability.
3) There are only 3 spots to list authors during registration, but I want to include more than 3 authors on my poster.
The author list during registration is used for the conference program. The idea is to limit the number of authors here to only 3, which includes yourself, your adviser, and whomever contributed most to the project (e.g. a mentor or co-adviser). This is only for the purposes of the program, so you may list more than 3 authors on your final printed poster.
If you have any questions regarding your abstract or the conference, please email email@example.com
